Welcome!
Serving up cozy chaos, one wonky iced tea at a time.
Real food. Real fun. Real life.
If you’ve ever burnt toast while trying to meal-prep, spilled flour into your sock drawer, or used a throw pillow to hide the laundry pile — congrats, you’ve found your people.
At HavenHoopla, we believe home should be happy, meals should be simple (but still make you feel like a kitchen wizard), and perfection is totally overrated. This is your go-to spot for real-life recipes, home hacks that actually work, and the occasional meltdown over missing Tupperware lids.
We’ve got everything from no-fuss, additive-free meals to quirky DIYs, plus the occasional rant about why avocados never ripen when you need them to.
So kick off your slippers, embrace the hoopla, and let’s turn the “hot mess” into homemade magic.
Stay cozy & slightly chaotic,
The HavenHoopla Team đź’›
About Me
My interest in food and clean eating started when I was 14, I found out my dad had dangerously high triglyceride levels—around 900. I didn’t fully understand the numbers at the time, but I knew it wasn’t good, and it deeply concerned me. That moment sparked a shift in how I looked at food and the ingredients I chose to use.
Over the years, I’ve gathered knowledge from journals, online resources, and a lot of personal trial and error. Some ideas didn’t stick, but many did—and those have shaped how I cook and eat today. This blog is a space for me to share what I’ve learned with anyone looking for an alternative to overly processed or additive-filled options. It may not always be the easiest route, but at least I know I’m avoiding the little things that quietly leach into our food.
I don’t claim that anything I share is 100% foolproof. I’ve gone through different phases—vegan, raw vegan, fruitarian—learning along the way about things like mercury, microplastics, and other health concerns that come with living in an ever-changing world. My choices evolve as I learn, and I do my best to adapt with care and thoughtfulness.
Most importantly, I try to pass that mindset on to the people around me. I want them to make conscious choices about their health, their habits, and especially the food they eat. Food isn’t just about nourishment—it’s about well-being, mental health, and connection.
This blog is my way of sharing that journey—with honesty, flexibility, and a lot of heart.
